Custom Old Man Emu suspension system as a complete kit.  This complete Old Man Emu suspension kit will improve the ride quality and handling while providing approximately 2.0 inches of suspension lift to your stock Toyota Sequoia.  This kit is using a "medium" spring rate that combines the lift with a comfortable yet firmer than stock ride.

We can custom create a higher rate kit for you upon request for front and back, or just back.    The need for a higher rate spring is typically in the rear of the truck to handle additional loads like drawer systems, rear bumpers and roof to tents.   More on rear spring rates below:

Rear Spring rates...

For the rear spring, the OME spring we have in the kit will create about a 2" rear lift for a stock rig. This spring, again already in the kit is a good balance of lift and ride.   However if your Sequoia build has rear drawers, Roof Top Tent, rear bumper with tire carrier etc.  you may want to increase your spring rate for the rear.   NOTE: We never suggest over springing the rear, its a harsh ride and can be unsafe as the tires could lift off the ground decreasing traction for breaking and cornering.   Its better to be a little on the softer side that the harder side.   Rear springs as pairs are not overly costly so its easier to later add the higher rate spring as needed vrs. over springing before its needed.

The stock Toyota rear spring is listed at 160lbs rate.   Even just a 20lbs more rate is substantial. Increasing the spring rate is not 1:1. The additional lbs rate is one number but the coil wire size, number of coils, and free height of the spring all affect what the spring can handle. Free height can also create lift, so say the stock spring is 170lbs rate and 14" tall. A spring with the same rate but at 16" tall would create a lift, not the perfect 2" difference, but lift.

Turns also make a difference. The more turns, the softer the ride, even if the wire thickness is the same.

Here are the options we can offer:
Medium 2862:
260lbs rate / 18" to 18.5" tall with a 17mm wire, nine turns. (This is what we have in the kits now, those 9 turns of 17mm wire is what make them a nice ride, yet still provide about a 2" lift)

Medium Plus 2863:
250lbs rate / 19" to 19.25" tall with 18mm wire, 7 turns. (Even with the lower 250 spring rate, this taller spring with fewer turns of the larger wire creates a much higher load capacity and lift. This is for about 440lbs of added rear load)

Heavy 2864:
320lbs rate / 19" to 19.25" tall with 19mm wire, 7.2 turns (This is a monster spring at 19mm thick wire, that's 3/4" for us Americans. This spring will create lift and can take 880lbs of added rear load)  NOTE: This spring does cost more than the other springs due to its monster size.
