Metal Tech Backup Camera Mount Kit (FJC/GX470)

Relocate and mounting for your Backup Camera on GX470 and FJC's.   This kit mounts to aftermarket and existing spare tire holders.  Primarily designed to work with the Metal-tech 4x4 rear swing out bumpers.  This kit comes with the camera mount and a block off plate to cover the hole where the OEM camera was mounted on your back door.    Powder coated and stainless steel parts for long lasting use.    This mount puts the camera in the middle of the spare tire with the cabling routing out the back of the swing arm.  

This is all the mechanical parts needed to mount the camera.  For the electrical aspect of moving your camera you will need to extend the OEM wiring with common CAT5 or CAT6 network cable.   This is usually just 4 wires needed that is attached to the stock wiring in the back door, then the OEM plug is moved to the other end of the extension to plug into the the camera.   Preferably soldered and the use of heat shrink but crimp conectors can be used. 

NOTE: Toyota/Lexus has been known to switch the cameras used.  We have made this mount universal for the 3 main cameras they used for this reason.   However if Toyota/Lexus used a camera that is not common on your build (or it was replaced by a body shop/past owner with an aftermarket one), it may be necessary to modify the mount for that specific limited used camera.    In the 15yrs we have made this mount we have seen the need for custom fit less than a handful a times.   It is not common at all but can happen.
